Lola Beans Dream
For the past year I’ve wished there was a place that I could “join”, where I’d get to know other dog-people like myself. Where I could have a cup of coffee and let Lola sit under the table while we talked. Somewhere I could go, on the too wet, too cold, too hot, too pollinated days and still be able to walk with her. Some place where I could know the other dog owners are as invested in their pets as I am with mine. For the past year I’ve been asking people where this place is or if I’m crazy for wanting it. I’m not crazy it just doesn’t exist yet. Lola Beans is my answer.
Vision
Lola Beans facilities are the “community center” for dog owners across the country. Every major city will have a Lola Beans. Dog owners meet for coffee and walks before work. Students and business professionals spend time in the Lola Beans cafe conducting meetings and studying with their k9 companions at their feet. Owners not only walk their dogs more often but they are able to wash their dogs in the grooming stations, keeping their bathrooms at home as clean as their pets. Owners and pets will be able to enjoy the mental and physical benefits of doggy day activity more frequently as they can purchase time in two hour increments verses the full and half day rates the competition demand. Busy moms and dads drop the dog(s) to play at the doggy daycare when bringing the kids to Karate. Doggy daycare attendants will take small groups of dogs on walks every hour, while others will stay to play with the pooches in groups of similar sized dogs.
Friendships will be made at the dog park and indoor track where dog owners can spend time socializing with each other and with their dogs. Walking and or running cliques will utilize the indoor track when weather prohibits the use of the outside track or trails. Circles of friends with special interest in holistic or natural path solutions for their pets will be able to meet and teach each other, sharing resources and experiences in the Lola Beans lounge.
Dog people will come together to share their core values of health, mental and physical fitness, and positive energy. Lola Beans communities will develop support networks to help dog owners who are ill or injured, ensuring their pets are properly exercised during challenging times. Seniors will find more comfort in walking on the leveled indoor tracks and they will benefit from assistance to ensure both of the participants are properly exercised and safe.
